Our new striker , Dev Malik stood out with 2 goals and 1 assist. Gaurav Bisht scored one goal, and Mo Arif played well in midfield. As Punjab Heroes FC get ready for the B Division of Football Delhi matches, we wish them the very best for the new season.

Before the game started, we saw our No1 GK Ashish Vidyarthi, with a wrist injury - while reaching the ground.. Jai Chand, who came in for him, was holding fort well, however let in one, by not gripping the ball well in the 30th min. Being played at 40 min, it was not easy, however we dominated the first half. In the 30th min, an injury to Divyanshu Kumar our Right Back, upset the combination of defence.. In the second half the opponents wingers were doing well. In the 75th min, we gave in to the pressure, and they scored off a good move. In the 85th min, we conceded another in a similar fashion - showing extreme dehydration. So, we ended with 4 points in 6 games, and our season is over. The best players of the season were Budilal Murmu and Gaurav Singh Bisht in strike, and Manish Kumar in Defence and Ashish Vidyarthi in Goal..

We missed a golden chance to move up to Senior Division, by losing this game narrowly. We could talk of a few ref decisions, which went against us or our multiple missed chances, specially in the last 20 min - there were 6 of them. We had them on the mat, however could not go the kill. For record, they scored in the 10th min, with Manish Kumar conceding a penalty, and thier striker slotted home correctly. We dominated proceedings however where not able to pass well, at least in the 1st half. The second half substitutions were fresh pair of legs, however lacked composure to score. Now, we have lost the chance to move to the higher level, for this year !

Our coaches got their act right today..and got a deserved victory. Our team was fortunate to dominate the game, from the start to finish. Gaurav opened the score, by snatching the ball from thier defender in the 25 min and scoring easily. We created more chances , however the opponents were also making some threatening moves. Our GK Ashish, got some pain in his back, due to the uneven ground in the 35th min. At half time, the score was 1-0. After change of ends, Budilal Murmu was active and finally scored, by snatching the ball from the GK, and slotting home. In the last 5 min, Ashish conceded a penalty, and was not able to save the resulting free kick. That made the score 2-1.. However, Gaurav made a clever run on the left flank and shot well, and Nitin - like Emilio Burtegano (The Vulture), scored off the rebound in the 87th min. Manish in Defence , Gaurav in Wing and Nitin in Attack got the best player awards, and were treated to Apple Crumble/Ice Cream at upmarket Garnita‘s at Meherchand Market !

We sadly started on a poor note again, being 2 goals down in the 20th min..However, good work with Budilal‘s aggression and Gaurav‘s play, led to Rajat Sharma scoring a good goal from long range, as he had seen the GK away from the post..We had started dominating, but clever give and go play play our opponents , led them to be 3-1 one at half time. The Coach put in Ansh Sajwan in Defence and Nitin in Attack, which resulted in stability. Budilal‘s enterprise led us getting a free kick. Once again, Alphens Lepcha hit a cracker of a free kick, which hit the top of the bar and bounced inside the line, that was 2-3 score in the 60th min. However, unsportsmanlike time wasting by our opponents, and possibly poor refereeing , led the opponents to hold on to the narrow lead. We have only 1 point from 3 games, and need to win the next three matches to restore some pride. Can we do it ?

Our team started well, with Gaurav making a diagonal run to catch the through ball by Divyansh, and score in the first min. Then 10 min later, Raj chased their defenders to win the ball for Budilal Murmu, who coolly slotted home. Unfortunately, we could not convert more chances. The Coach made 4 changes in the 70th min, and things went downhill for us. They got a soft penalty against us, and our defenders did not clear the ball in time, and thier forward dribbled past our players in the sandy part of the Penalty box to equalise. We clearly gave away the game..

An interesting match for us to fix our small problems in team formation. Gaurav opened the scoring by converting a penalty created by Rajat Sharma‘s hard work, in the 20th min. The Same duo combined well for Gaurav getting another goal in the 50th min. However, the team against us , played well and scored a nice goal - despite Jai‘s heroics in Goal. However, with our pressing, Sunny got a nice tap in with Gaurav providing the cross in the 70th min. Again Rajat worked hard on the right wing and fed Ashish, to allow Nitin to score from close range header in the 80th min. From our team, Jai in Goal, and Rajat Sharma in midfield and Nitin in Strike got the best players awards.. Now, we aim to do well in the FD "A" Division matches, with similar form !

Collegians FC Vs Shimla Youngs FC

A poor start to the season for us. We are down in the 10th, by a quick strike by Ayush, the ball swerved in the air and Ashish Vidyarthi could not read the flight ! We changed Sunny and put in Gaurav in the Wing, however, we conceded another goal, by a free header scored against us. We were seemingly back in the game, in the second half, with Budilal Murmu‘s fine run and cross, led to Gaurav tapping in from close. Our team created more chances, however we were not able to convert. Now, we need to win the next 5 matches, to able to reach the next level.
